The loveable ginger superstar surprised a massive superfan after serenading her in hospital and frankly it was adorable.
Ed popped into Epsom Hospital’s children ward recently to give a brave little nine-year-old, Melody Driscoll an extra special treat.
This follows a campaign which was launched by her family to persuade him to visit her.
Singer Ed is well known for being generous when it comes to his fans. During his visit, he presented Melody with a signed pink ukulele.
He then proceeded to sing two of his best-known hits, Thinking out Loud and Photograph.
Superfan Melody suffers from Retts Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that affects brain development, resulting in severe mental and physical disability.
The condition is estimated to affect about 1 in 12,000 girls born each year.
Melody was elated when her favourite singer appeared in the hospital’s children’s ward and all her dreams came true.
Ed continually loyal to his fans through surprise visits and kind donations. Earlier this week he donated his first ever drum kit to East Anglia hospices.
