When a Koala was rushed into the wildlife hospital at Australia Zoo, the adorable little marsupial was not alone for one second because she had a little companion, her baby joey who stayed by her side throughout the entire surgery.
Lizzy the Koala was hit by car along a highway in Queensland, Australia and was rushed to the animal hospital and the nearby Zoo for emergency surgery to treat a collapsed lung. Her little baby Phantom was also brought in despite being uninjured in the accident. Never wanting to leave his mothers side, Phantom who is just 6-months-old stayed attached through the entire operation.
The surgery was a complete success and Lizzy is recovering with the help of antibiotics!
