Prince William skips royal service to drink with Aussie model on lads’ ski holiday

Prince William was the only major royal to snub an important Westminster Abbey service, in favour of a lads’ only ski holiday.

The 34-year-old was spotted drinking in the Swiss resort of Verbier with Australian model Sophie Taylor.

William was seen downing Jagerbombs and drinking wine during a liquid lunch. According to the Sun Online, claims that his group later met up with the 24-year-old and her friend at another bar where the drinking continued.

He was joined on the trip to Switzerland with pals Guy Pelly, James Meade and Tom Van Straubenzee.

One skier said: “If I were Kate I wouldn’t be very pleased to see my husband living it up with two stunning girls.

“William and his pals had skied to the restaurant, while the girls came up the mountain specially to meet them. The boys ate lunch and the girls joined them for a load of drinks.

“William seemed to be getting on very well with Sophie and they were giggling and laughing.

“Once they’d finished skiing for the day, they all met up with the girls again at another bar.”

One source said that Wills looked “very worse for wear” after having “several drinks”.

Prince Andrew had also been in Verbier but flew back in time for the Commonwealth Day service, which was followed by a reception at Buckingham Palace.
